Catalina Lounge is a brand new, premium international lounge at Darwin International Airport.
The facility caters for the needs of both business and holiday travellers and was designed with the international passenger in mind, offering a comfortable place to relax prior to departure.
What makes Catalina Lounge unique is that it is not aligned with one specific airline, rather it was created for the benefit of all the airport’s international airline partners.
This makes it the first of its kind in Australia.
From our rich Indigenous culture through to Darwin’s fascinating aviation heritage, the space is wholly inspired by the unique Northern Territory.
Intricate motifs from Arnhem Land adorn the walls, while the interior design takes a gentle nod to the golden age of flying boats, the era of the Catalina and Empire Class aircrafts – understated elegance, luxury travel and adventure – from which inspired the name.
The attractive 330 square metre lounge seats up to 70 passengers and has a full bar, an all-inclusive Asian and Australian inspired chef prepared menu, snacks, deli, fresh fruit, a kid's play zone facilities and wifi.
A VIP area is open to the public and available for bookings. Located back of house with doors that can close off, this facility provides views of the airport and seats approximately 24 guests.
